Welcome to Bethel Lutheran Church in North East, Maryland. Our website is filled with information about who we are and our ministry activities. No matter who you are, what you have done, or where you have come from – you are welcome at Bethel. In Genesis chapter 28, Jacob is aware of God’s presence in his life. Jacob named the place where he spent the night "Bethel," which means “house of God”.

We seek to serve this all-present God within the walls of God’s sacred house, but more than that, to take the Gospel Light of Jesus to the neighborhoods, rivers, streets and dwellings of those in our community. We believe that all of life is sacred, and that God’s word of grace - unconditional love - is given to all God’s children.

This is an exciting time for Bethel. Our future is in God’s hands. We are His disciples and are humbled by His great love for all people. You are invited to be a part of the fellowship of Jesus Christ! God needs you to help build His church in this time and place. Please, continue to explore our site.
